Clinical Psychologist
Ancora Psychology
Natasha is a clinical psychologist who works with adolescents, adults and families.
She has worked in private practice for many years, and also has experience in both the public and private mental health sectors. Natasha has a particular interest in working with both women and men with eating disorders, disordered eating and body image issues, as well as trauma and interpersonal issues. She is an credentialed eating disorder clinician and provides supervision to other psychologists providing treatment to people with eating and body concerns.
Natasha adopts a client-centered approach and strongly believes in working collaboratively with her clients to allow them to achieve their goals in a safe and comfortable environment. In particular, she enjoys working with clients to help them change long-standing patterns so that important psychological needs can be met in a helpful way.
Natasha is an advanced accredited shema therapist.
She finds schema therapy to be a helpful approach for people who find themselves doing the same unhelpful behaviours repeatedly, particular in interpersonal relationships. She also finds schema therapy particularly helpful for people who have tried therapy before and achieved some changes but have struggled to maintain them.
Natasha also uses EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and other trauma-informed approaches, including somatic interventions, to assist people to resolve past issues and lead an authentic and fulfilling life.
Natasha is also endorsed by the Psychology Board of Australia as a clinical supervisor, and can provide supervision to psychologists and provisional psychologists.
